Leib Itzikovich was born on February 26, 1903 (Julian calendar) in Libava ( Libau) to
Shmuel, a trader, son of Leib- Faivish and Lea, daughter of Aba-
Mordukh. He went to gymnasium in Libau, then to college in New York and
became a well-known civil and bridge engineer. He changed his name to Leopold H. Just in 1927 in the USA.

His brother Max Itzikovich (born 1905) went to medical school in Paris, survived
the War and became a doctor in Meaux. His children live in Meaux,
Paris and Cannes.
Abram Levenshtein was born on November 22, 1903 (Julian calendar)
in Libava (Libau) to Nathan from Goldingen, a trader, son of
Levin and Fiega, daughter of Kaftel Hertzenberg. He went to
medical school in Riga . Leib Itzikovich's son, Edward Just, said
he married a non-Jewish girl and became a "country" doctor - meaning he
practiced in a smaller town or village - not Libau. Nobody
knows what happened to him, his wife or his children during the
Holocaust.

Leib Itzikovich and Abram Levenshtein were close friends and gymnasium classmate.
