These are identity photographs, that were part of official belgian documents. They left Dwinsk in 1901 (Chaia) and 1902 (Yankel Shelom) to emigrate to Belgium where they have settled down definitively or so they thought. They were deported to Auschwitz in September 1942.
As to their respective parents (Movscha Aaron Suritz and Lea Meilach on the one hand and Leib Gelman and Reiwka Lea Lin on the other - spelling not guaranteed), they emigrated at the same time or a few years later and they all died in Antwerp from "natural" causes, well before the beginning of WWII (respectively in 1936, 1938, 1913 and 1928)
