The family of Usdin Abram, son of Benyamin, his wive Sheina-Reiza Glazman (my
grandfather's sister) and their daughters (from left) Dora, Anna, Liza,
Rachil-Roza (perished with her family in the Holocaust) and the son (sitting on
the left) Velvel-Volodia. The picture was suposedly taken in 1908 in Dvinsk. The family escaped
from WWI to Yaroslavl where Abram died. Velvel left for South Africa and was
never heard of since. Since the rest were daughters, the Usdin family name did
not survive in this Russian line. By the way, Anna was married to the brother of
Shalom-Aleichem.
Abraham was born to Benjamin- Vulf Usdin in
1868.
Sheina- Reiza was born to Khaim- Aron Glazman in
1870. Look here. Page 228. N° 380
