Kusel Usdin was my Granduncle, born in
Vishki in Circa 1884 to Beines Jankelevich Usdin and Sarah, née
to Kusel Alterman. Kusel was my Grandfather's eldest brother.
Kusel
escaped the holocaust as he fled or was deported to Siberia in the 1940
ies. He was married to Rebbeca Aronovna, born in 1890. After her
husband's death in Barnaul, Rebecca returned to Leningrad and is
burried in the Preobrazhenskoi Jewish cemetery of St Petersburg.

Kusel and Rebecca had one son, David, born in 1913 in Leningrad.
David Usdin worked all his life
in Gorelectrotrans( Горэлектротранс )
in 1953-1973 as the Chief Engineer. Gorelectrotrans also published a book of the 70th anniversary of
the trolleybus traffic in St. Petersburg, where David is mentioned several times.
David died in 1983 and is burried in the Preobrazhenskoi Jewish cemetery of
St Petersburg.
